My Story: Embracing the Change
Learn my personal journey from humble beginnings to perfecting transformative change in business.
How My Story Started
Have you ever felt stuck, frustrated or wishing things were better, but you were unsure about what you could do, where to start, or whether you could muster the support and resources to succeed?
Me too! Just like you, I used to found myself often dealing with change, accompanied by challenging circumstances, marginal resources, and reluctance or limited commitment from team members or supervisors.
I tried all the usual stuff… Working harder, longer and wearing myself out, waiting or asking for things to change. You see, the reason those things don’t usually work is that even though things aren’t great, most people are reluctant to change.
Being unsure how to proceed, I often repeated mistakes. At times, with bitter consequences.
Once I came to realize these situations are normal and accept that “the only true constant in life is change”, I began to develop an approach that, over nearly four decades, has evolved into a reliable solution for navigating groups or organizations from where they are to where they need to be. And doing so with care, confidence and buy-in from the team.
As I moved forward, each step taught me something new.
In fact, I have used it to successfully create solutions, develop programs, turn-around struggling businesses, launch new ventures, and help business clients and colleagues to do the same, with great results. (Often with career-building outcomes)..
As I was able to accomplish this, my life went from being an hourly assistant manager to General Manager, then Board Member, Partner, International Consultant, Start-up Entrepreneur, Author, Coach and Speaker.
The good news is that it’s easy to learn - and won’t take you decades to develop. I call it Changing Lanes because it follows the same steps you would (hopefully) use when driving.
